Lawrence Lee “Dickie” Bryant, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, March 22, 2020, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2020, under the porte cochere at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Wright officiating. Robert Sherrell will deliver the eulogy.
Mr. Bryant was born July 17, 1948, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Julian L. & Burnell Lee Bryant. He was a 1966 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Brewton Parker College. Mr. Bryant was a conductor for CSX Railroad with 39 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Margie Paulk Bryant; children: Lisa & Lee Hogan of Fitzgerald, Lee & Lana Bryant of Fitzgerald and Brent & Amy Bryant of Cordele; grandchildren: Hadlee Hogan, Braswell Bryant, Bella Bryant, Elizabeth Bryant and Catherine Bryant; a sister, Jane Ellen Phillips and a brother, Ray & Wilene Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Bryant.
