Mary F. Goulet, 72

Dateline: Taunton, MA

Mary F. (Mackinlay) Goulet, age 72, of Taunton, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton.

Born in Boston, MA on August 20, 1947, she was a loving daughter of the late Stuart and Marguerite (Connor) Mackinlay.

Mary grew up in Mansfield and was a 1965 graduate of Mansfield High School. She had made her home in Taunton for the past twenty-two years and was a former longtime resident of Mansfield and communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield.

Mary had worked for many years at Shaw’s Supermarket in East Providence and at the time of her retirement was a retail clerk. She had previously been employed at the former Fernandes Supermarket in Mansfield and the former Sannie’s Clothing Shop, also in Mansfield.

Mary’s family was truly the focal point of her life and she especially loved spending time with her adoring granddaughter. She enjoyed reading, gardening, joining her friends for lunch and throughout her life maintained a special place in her heart for animals.

She is survived by her devoted daughters: Michelle M. Gudlevich and her longtime companion Richard McAulay of Taunton and Tracey A. Goulet and her husband Ryan Manning of Wrentham. She was the dear sister of Rosanna Peavey and her husband Robert, Sr. of Wareham. She was the cherished grandmother of Sophia Gudlevich and Emily and Colby Manning. She was the treasured aunt of Kerry Harlor, Bob Peavey, Jr. and Krissy Coughlin.


A service in celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date and place to be announced. Burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
