Charles C. Travers, 47

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Charles C. Travers, age 47, of Mansfield, formerly of Norton passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Rhode island Hospital in Providence as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was the beloved husband of Deana (Travers) Travers, to whom he was wed for nearly eighteen years.

Born in Boston, MA on October 5, 1972, he was a loving son of Charles R. and Patricia E. (Walsh) Travers of Norton.

Chuck grew up in Norton and was a 1991 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in South Easton. At the time of his death, he was employed as a roof mechanic for M J Ambrose Enterprise in Dedham and had previously worked as a tow truck operator at Achin’s Garage in North Attleboro.

Chuck had made his home in Mansfield for the past twenty years, where he raised his family, whom he loved and adored dearly. When younger, while living in Norton, he served as a Norton Call Firefighter and also as an EMT for Fallon Ambulance Service in Boston.

Chuck loved engaging in outdoor activities which included camping, hunting, fishing and relaxing around the fire pit. He also enjoyed motorcycles, off road vehicles and had a lifelong dream to live in a log cabin.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted children: Keara M. Travers, Brendon C. Travers and Christian M. Travers all of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Colin Travers of Mansfield, Breinne Travers of Norton and the late Sean Travers. He was the cherished son-in-law of Diane Simpson of Norton, Donald Travers of Mansfield and the late John Simpson. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.


A celebration of his life will be held at a later date and place to be announced. Visiting hours have been omitted and burial will be private.
