Anthony (Mederios) Sperlinga, 34, of South Boston died suddenly on Thursday, March 19th. Born and raised in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of Lisa Sperlinga of Somerville, Patricia (Callahan) Mederios of Cambridge and the late Bob Mederios, also of Cambridge. Dear brother to Michael Cartolano and wife Debralee of Medford, and Paul Gagliardi of Lynnfield. Loving uncle to Caleb and Colby Cartolano of Medford.
Anthony dedicated his life to working hard and providing for his family. He was an extraordinary entrepreneur with big dreams, never giving up on how to pursue them. He found unconditional joy in spending quality time with his family, trips to the park and walks on the beach.
He was the beloved fiancé to Lauren Mazzeo, deeply devoted father to Albert Mazzeo-Sperlinga and stepfather to Ella and Joey Leeman, all of South Boston. He leaves behind many members of the Mederios family including Stephen, Michael, and Bob. Anthony had a kind heart and contagious smile and will be deeply missed.
Private services will be held at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, followed by a public memorial service and reception to be held at a later date.
