Obituary

Jack Junior Scarborough, 80, of Ty Ty passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Scarborough at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Jimmy Albritton will officiate.

Kenneth Watson, Kenneth Roy Watson, T. J. Watson, Jaime Harrell, Jonathan Hemminger and Trevor Hemminger will serve as pallbearers.

Born September 19, 1939 in Worth County, Mr. Scarborough was the son of the late Henry Eldon Scarborough and Elmer Harris Scarborough. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Dan Herman Scarborough; and one sister, Edith Melissa Fowler. He was a skilled craftsman and retired after 34 years of employment with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He loved fishing from the banks of a pond to riding around the countryside in his pickup truck. He loved to watch the Atlanta Braves and WWE wrestling.

Mr. Scarborough is suvived by his loving wife of 54 years, Geneva Ingram Scarborough of Ty Ty; one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Kenneth Watson of Adel; one son, Randy Scarborough of Tifton; a special niece and her husband, Vickie and Bill McGee of Inverness, Florida; five grandchildren, Greye Lovin of Seattle, Washington, T. J. Watson of Adel, Cameron Scarborough and his mother, Sonya Guzman, both of Tifton, Ken and Bonnie Watson of Adel and Debra and Kasey Brooker of Belle Glade, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Lana Watson of Adel and E. J. Najera and Blake Brooker, both of Belle Glade, Florida; one sister, Nettie Mae Pope of Gordy; special nieces and nephews, Alisa and Mark Hemminger, Tonja Harrell and Jonathan Warren, all of Tifton, Jaime and Vickie Harrell of Lenox, Shane Harrell of Carrabelle, Florida; a special family friend, Rose Roberson of Ty Ty; and several other special nieces and nephews.
