Raymond F. Fitzgerald
(August 10th 1940 - March 15th 2020)
Raymond passed away peacefully on the said date above. He fought a courageous battle, but he succumbed in the end to his illness. Raymond was born in Somerville, Ma. The son of the late Ronald & Barbara Fitzgerald.
As a young man, Ray along with other family members worked at B.F. Goodrich in Watertown, Ma. He then moved on to RCA Corporation, first as a Technician and then worked his way into managing other office areas for 20 years.
After that, Ray started is own company as a premier Rental Agent in the Merrimack Valley area. That was the beginning of A'OK Property Management as the CEO of his company. He then started American Eagle Property Management Consultants and did it for another ten years. His desire and professional development were always present. He had ambition and was very hard working.
Ray loved life and had a great sense of humor and wit. In his leisure time he appreciated playing a round of golf and was a real competitor. Ray did a lot of fresh water fishing, one of this favorite activies that brought him joy. He also enjoyed trips to Gloucester and Newburyport during the warmer months. Gizmo, his dog and faithful pet companion was always ready to go and accompany Ray and Verna wherever they went.
Raymond is survived by his dedicated wife of over 25 years. Verna Fitzgerald; his son Brian Dolan and his Wife Deborah from Amesbury; stepsons Paul & Anthony Holloway. Grandchildren, Brittany, Patrick, Nicholas and Rosalie; his siblings Ronald and his Wife Evelyn Fitzgerald of Malden. John Fitzgerald and Consuelo of Planation, FL. Barbara and her Husband Ronald Begin of Methuen and Stephen and his wife Marie Fitzgerald of Lowell. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was an active member of the Boston Church of Christ. He loved the Lord and he had Faith he was following the right path to Salvation. May he rest in Peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
