Maria P. (Perez) Sosa, 78 of New Bedford died March 18, 2020 at Wareham HealthCare.
Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Octavio and Obdulia (Neves) Perez, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Mrs. Sosa was formerly employed by several local textile mills for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Miguel "Mike" Sosa, Jr. of Taunton and Robert Sosa of Rhode Island; a brother, Angel Perez of San Sebastian, PR; 2 sisters, Awilda Perez of San Sebastian, PR and Ana Perez of Castlebery, FL; 2 grandchildren, Kaleigh Sosa and Delia Sosa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Noel Sosa.
Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, her visitation, Funeral Service, and burial will be private for immediate family. A public service will be held at the later date.
