Obituary

Jacqueline L. (Nichols) Austin, a resident of Medford for 10 years and a former 70 year resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at The Hellenic Nursing and Rahabilitation Center in Canton. She was 85 years of age.

Jacqueline was born in Medford on October 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Cecil L. Nichols and Uldene (Bennett) Nichols. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. Jacqueline worked as a Secretary for Teamsters Union Local # 25 in Charlestown for over 25 years. She enjoyed doing crafts and most of all in her lifetime, she enjoyed the quality moments she spent with her son and his family.

Jacqueline is the devoted mother of Edward "Eddie" Austin and his wife Terri. She is the loving Pumpa to Nicholas, Kelly and her husband Dave, Hayley, Anthony, Jacquelyn and her great-grandchildren Ava, Addison, Dylan, Camden and Aiden. She is the beloved sister of the late Margaret Bangs.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jacqueline's visiting hours on Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 2 to 5 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her Funeral Services and burial will be private.
