Betty L. (Martin ) Pierce, 91, of Sangerville, ME, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Royal Megansett Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Henry D. "Bo" Pierce, Jr. with whom she shared 71 years of marriage.
Mrs. Pierce was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late William A. and Dorothy (Russell) Martin. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a teacher at the Smith Mills Preschool in Dartmouth and she had also worked as a Pre-Professional Library Assistant at the Dartmouth Public Library. She was a member of the Smith Mills United Congregational Church, Dartmouth.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Martin E. Pierce and his wife Joanne of Cataumet and Kyle H. Pierce and his wife Susan of N. Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter.
She was the mother of the late Mark M. Pierce and Keven Ann Sweeney and great grandmother of the late Emma G. Coppellotti.
A private graveside committal will be held at the convenience of the family.
