Fairhaven – Carolyn B. (Chase) Lake, 73, of Main Street, Fairhaven, died unexpectedly, February 7, 2006 at home.
She was a daughter of the late Stephen and Angelina (Macedo) Chase, and was a resident of Fairhaven for most of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she worked for Harte Toyota in Dartmouth and also at U.S. Ringbinders of New Bedford. She attended St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven and was a member of the Fairhaven Village Seniors Club. Mrs. Lake was an avid bingo player, who enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son: Stephen E. Lake of Acushnet; 2 daughters: Linda L. Pontes of South Dartmouth and Donna M. Lake of Acushnet; 2 brothers: Albert “Jack” Chase of Fairhaven and Robert Chase of North Carolina; a sister: Barbara Caton of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren: Sheila Sullivan, Tara McMullen, Jeffrey Pontes, Tracy Oliveira and Jennifer Pontes; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Marsha Gimdrik, Betty Santos, Arthur G. Chase and Shirley Hietz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend:
Funeral on Monday, February 13, 2006 at 5:00 P.M. at the Kirby Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. and continue on until after funeral service until 6:00 P.M.
Interment will be private.
