John M. Campopiano, Sr., 86, formerly of Indian Run Trail, Smithfield, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Stillwater Nursing Home, Smithfield. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Burrows) Campopiano.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Iolanda “Viola” (DeFusco) Campopiano. John had been a Toolmaker with E.A. Adams Company and was also a self-employed TV technician before retiring. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John M. Campopiano, Jr. and his wife Susan, of Johnston, Joyce Costakos and her husband Dean, of Scituate and Jeanne Marcotte and her husband Robert, of Moosup, CT. He was the father of the late Janice A. Card. He was the brother of Raymond Campopiano and his wife Roberta of Johnston.
John was the stepfather of Kathy Stefano-Meka of Maine, Edward Maione of Burrillville, Robert Maione of South Kingstown and Lynn Hilton of Burrillville. He also leaves fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one niece.
Services are respectfully omitted. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
