Janice Marie (Bishop) Linde, 78, of Worcester, died peacefully Sunday, March 15th at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves her husband of 58 years, Frank A. Linde, Jr.; four daughters, Sheila Papetti and her husband, Duane of Auburn, Robin Maple and her husband, George of Worcester, Karen Ritchie and her husband, Mark of Jupiter, FL and Jennifer Linde and her husband, Patrick Vogel of Worcester; two brothers, Ernest Bishop of Shrewsbury and David Bishop and his wife, Yvonne of Barre; a sister, Dorothy Capuano of Millbury; six grandchildren, Jesse Ritchie, Ray Ritchie, Michael Papetti, Anthony Papetti, Shelby Mierzejewski and Gabrielle Mierzejewski; six step-grandchildren, Simon, Prescott, Lydia, Bethany, Marcella, and Dietrick Vogel. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Loftgren.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Ernest and Helen (Pickett) Bishop. Janice enjoyed spending her time building shorefront homes in Maine with her husband. Christmas was her favorite holiday, she enjoyed decorating and preparing for it all year long. Janice was known for her sweets and treats with the children. She always had treats ready and the perfect, well thought out gift for any visitor.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
