Sandra Sutton Fields, 72, of Pink Hill, North Carolina passed away Friday, March 13, 2020, at her daughter’s residence in Pink Hill, North Carolina. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Fields at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Omega Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate.
Born January 9, 1948 in Moultrie, Mrs. Fields was the daughter of the late Sanford Sutton, Sr. and Louise Hall Sutton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Fields; one son, Lummy Dewitt Nelms; and one brother, Charles Sutton. Before retiring, she worked for B&B Vendors and Holiday Market as a cashier and she was a member of Herring Memorial Church. She loved to read and watch wrestling.
Mrs. Fields is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Fidel Tovar of Tifton, Diane and Eliseo Tovar of Pink Hill, North Carolina and Amanda and Israel Gutierrez of Moultrie; two brothers, Sanford Sutton, Jr. and James Sutton, both of Tifton; one sister, Sue Harper of Moultrie; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
