Obituary

CHICOPEE – Jacqueline A. (Cross) Breault, 80, of Chicopee, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Springfield on October 19, 1939, she was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield and attended Holyoke Community College. She retired from the Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company in 1995 after 18 years of service where she worked in the Valuation, DA Accounts, Purchasing and Graphics Departments. While at Mass Mutual, she took up many in-home courses to keep her skills updated. In her young adult life, she enjoyed singing in three church choirs, playing the piano, roller and ice skating, dancing, playing cards, swimming, fishing, gardening and cooking. As a young mother, she went into the Boy Scouts of America starting as a Den Mother and moving up the ranks to District Cub Roundtable Commissioner fulfilling ten years of service. She was awarded the Chicopee District Spark Plug Award and the District Award of Merit. She also served on the committee of Handicap Troop 400. She was a member of the National Home Gardening Club and the North Shore Animal League. Later in life, she enjoyed making greeting cards on the computer, keeping up with the latest technology, relaxing on the patio, taking care of her pets and especially being in the company of her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald O. Breault who died on March 15, 1985; her loving son, Timothy N. Breault who died on March 28, 2001; her cherished grandson, Michael J. Dansereau who died on October 9, 2019; and her three dear brothers, Richard, Raymond and Norman Cross. She leaves her two loving sons, Michael R. Breault and his wife, Carolyn, of Palmer and Kenneth J. Breault of Chicopee. She also leaves her four loving grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Breault, Rebecca Geary and Justin Breault; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
