Angel L. Gonzalez, age 46, of Fall River, formerly of Taunton, passed unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
Born in New Bedford, MA on March 2, 1974, he was a loving son of Alicia Gonzalez of Taunton and the late Raul Velez.
Angel grew up and was educated in Taunton. He had made his home in Fall River for over twenty years and the majority of his working career was spent in construction. He, along with his family, whom he loved dearly, attended Saint Mary’s Church in Taunton. Angel loved family cookouts and without a doubt, he was the number one fan and supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted children: Jonathan A. Gonzalez-Mort of Taunton, Anthony Mort of Taunton, Jordan Morton of Taunton, Jallysa Mort of Fall River, Kristian Gonzalez of Fall River, Angel Gonzalez of Fall River and Julianna Gonzalez of Fall River. He was the dear brother of Haydee Gonzalez and her husband Alfonso of Taunton, Alma Albino and her former husband Ricardo Albino of Taunton, Elsa Carrillo and her former husband Adrian Carrillo of Taunton, Luz Roman and her fiancé Emilio Cruz of Taunton, Bernice Villanueva and her companion Ramon Gomez of Taunton, Raul Velez of New Bedford and David Velez of New Bedford. He was the cherished grandfather of Raymond Morton and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will begin on Monday, March 16th at 10:00 A.M. from the Taunton Memorial Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (Off Route 140, Tremont St.) Taunton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, Saint Mary’s Square, Taunton. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph’s cemetery in Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 15th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Taunton Memorial Funeral Home.
