WORCESTER-Cornelia T. Donovan, 90, of 215 Mill Street, formerly of 3 A Clement Street died Friday, July 5th in Integrated Health Services of Worcester after an illness. She leaves her brother, Albert E. Donovan, Jr. of Red Bluff, CA; several nephews and nieces. A sister, Margaret M. Roseen died in 2001.
She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire the daughter of Albert E. Donovan, Sr. and Mary (Bradley) Donovan and lived in Worcester for many years. She graduated from Commerce High School. Ms. Donovan worked as a secretary for Cosmopolitan Magazine in New York City for 16 years. And then worked for Davis Advertising Co. in Worcester, retiring many years later. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church, the Business and Professional Women’s Club and the National Secretary’s Association.
The funeral will be Wednesday, July 10th, from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bedford, NH. Calling hours are from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 9th in the funeral home.
