CHICOPEE – Edward P. Reniewicz III, 68, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, March 9, 2020. He passed into Eternal Life at his daughter’s home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on February 29, 1952, a beloved son of the late Edward P. Reniewicz Jr. and Lucille Mary (Daudelin) Reniewicz. He was raised on Rolf Avenue in Aldenville and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1971. He later lived in Holyoke before returning to Chicopee in 1995. He was employed for 20 years as a custodian at Presstek in South Hadley. During his leisure time, Edward enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn and gardening. He also enjoyed metal detecting and was proud to have found a Chicopee Comprehensive High School Super Bowl Ring while searching for treasures which he returned to its rightful owner. Above all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughters, family and many friends. He leaves his three loving children, Edward P. Reniewicz IV and Tammy A. Forrett and her husband, Randy, all of Chicopee and Rebecca L. Reniewicz of Dorchester; his six cherished grandchildren, Adrienne Reniewicz, Brett Ostrander and his wife, Tekowa, Brandon Ostrander and his fiancée, Shanna Kamienski, Katelynn Ostrander, Ava Forrett and Isaiah Colon; his four cherished great-granddaughters, Kaliyah, Sykema, Jazlyn and Jayda Ostrander; his two dear brothers, Steven A. Reniewicz and his wife, Amy, of Norway, ME and Thomas R. Reniewicz and his companion, Gayle Nakano-Kim, of Chicopee; his dear sister, Cheryl A. Dompierre and her husband, Alan, of Auburn, NH; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear sister, Deborah Lee Reniewicz. At Edward’s request, his funeral services and burial are private. There are no visiting hours. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
