Barry J. "Marty" Martello 51, of Blackstone, died Saturday March 7, 2020 at home. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Stewart) Martello, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.
Born March 23, 1968, in Norwood a son of Alfred D. “Freddie” and Shirley A. (Mucciarone) Martello of Franklin, he was a former longtime Franklin resident until moving to Blackstone.
He was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1986. Marty was the former owner of Martello and Son Concrete and was currently working for Marguerite Concrete, Inc.
Barry was devoted to his family and friends, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, cooking, building fishing rods, and all the New England sports teams. He was a member of Local 40.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Dominic A. Martello and his companion Chole Bilodeau of Blackstone, Marissa P. Martello of Blackstone, his siblings Bruce A. Martello of West Dennis, RonaLee Crosby of Plymouth, Julie Wood of Plymouth, Leslie Martello of Franklin, his in-laws, James and Pat Stewart of Plainville and his cherished chocolate lab “Bruno”.
He also leaves numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Friday March 13th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 3-7PM.
A funeral service will follow at 7PM.
His interment will be held privately.
