Obituary


Susan M. Imperioso, of Woburn formerly of Cambridge passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 1, 2020, at the Park Ave Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arlington at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Imperioso, Sr. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rose (Albano) Dell'Anno.

Susan has been a Woburn resident for the last fifty-seven years. She worked for many years as an administrative secretary at the Winchester Hospital prior to her retirement. Mostly devoted to her family, for many years, Susan and her husband Anthony enjoyed dancing together every weekend. She also enjoyed traveling over the years, with Italy and Las Vegas being some of her favorite destinations. She was an active member of the Dante Alighieri Society in Cambridge and was also active with the South End Italian Club here in Woburn. She will fondly be remembered for unconditional love and devotion to family and friends.

Susan is survived by her devoted children; Anthony Imperioso, Jr. of Woburn, Suzanne Maurici of Wareham, Mary Jane Maurici - Towse and her husband Robert Towse of North Andover. She was the loving grandmother of John Woolley. Cherished sister of Anne Najjar of Medford and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, March 5th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
