Sue Hutchinson, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the age of 86. She was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on May 26, 1933 and resided in Tewksbury, MA, at the time of her death.
Sue was many things to many people, mother, friend and co-workers. She spread joy, laughter, and kindness to everyone she met. As a teacher for more than 30 years at both East Jr High and Doherty Middle School in Andover, MA, she was beloved by her students and fellow teachers.
Always a lover of life, Sue never passed up a chance for adventure. She loved to travel, especially to her favorite Edinburgh, Scotland. She also cherished the everyday joys of life, like her flowers in Spring, her library of books, weekly lunches with close friends, weekends at Newfound Lake, cocktails on her lovely deck with closest friend of over 60 years, Elaine Pellechia and her husband Bill, cruising the waters of the Merrimack with her daughter, Lynn Hutchinson and Rick Whitcomb, cuddling with her dear cat, Max, keeping the bird feeder filled and contributing so much to the animal shelters throughout the country.
Sue was predeceased by her parents, Frederick W. Stein and Helen Dorothy Krautsch Stein, and sister Jean Stein. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lynn Hutchinson of Amesbury, MA and her ex-husband and friend, Richard Hutchinson.
Sue made a profound impact on so many and will never be forgotten. Her legacy will live on through those she leaves behind. We are all better for having known her and she continue live in our hearts forever.
