Obituary

Katherine Saitas Pappas, passed away peacefully in her home on February 27th. She was born December 10, 1925 in Manchester to Cosmos and Katherine Saitas. She was educated in the Manchester School system.
She worked for many years at Rockingham Park in Salem and was loved by all that knew her. Her never ending energy and spit fire personality brought a smile to all that encountered her. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all that met her and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Harry Pappas of Manchester, her son; Lenny Pappas of Manchester, daughters; JoAnne Wiren of Concord and Anna Pappas of Manchester. She also leaves her sisters; Asimo Manales, Christy Hoover, brother Mike Saitas, grandson; Lenny, granddaughters; Angela, Jennie Mellissa, Katie and Kelly, great grandsons; Charlie, Nicholas, Nathan, Mason and Miles. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Xenophon, Harold, Stanley and Steve and sisters, Ida and Penny.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 10 am to 11 am in the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Island Pond Rd. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the church.
Burial and committal prayers will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brown Ave.
The family request no flowers, and in lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations may be sent to the funeral home in order to defray funeral expenses. J. N.
