Franklin Earl Bostic
Sunrise: June 30th, 1963
Sunset: February 13th, 2020

Franklin E. Bostic passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 13th, 2020 at the age of 56 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Frank was born on June 30th, 1963 in Florence, SC. He grew up in New Haven, CT, where he found his first love: basketball. His coach, Mr. Anastasia aka Mr. A., helped to elevate Frank’s basketball and leadership skills on and off the court. From very early on in his life, Frank was known for his work ethic. He got his first job when he was 14 years old and worked every summer until he moved to Boston, MA to attend Northeastern University, majoring in mechanical engineering.
His passion for helping people guided him to his life-long career in real estate. Frank worked for the City of Boston for several years before being employed at the Boston Housing Authority. He worked at the BHA for over 30 years, first as a Housing Inspector and later as Inspection Manager, from which position he eventually retired in early February 2020. Frank also was a licensed construction supervisor, and he owned and operated his own companies for many years. Frank was renowned and respected for his vast knowledge in real estate.
Frank was a youth minister for several years. He organized and led many mission trips to Haiti, Africa, and other countries with hundreds of children. Frank also taught personal finance classes at churches and local non-profit organizations teaching people on how to manage their money and become debt free.
Frank was an avid golfer. He loved the game of golf and was passionate about helping other golfers with their game. The golf course was where he earned his nickname “Fairway” Frank, and where he would go to decompress and find peace. He forged many of his lifelong friendships, personal and professional, while playing his favorite sport. Frank loved to travel and play golf all around the world.
Frank was known for his infectious laugh, authentic hugs, compassionate spirit, and tough love talks. His two wonderful children, Maritza and James, were the most important people in Frank’s life, and he loved them with all of his heart and soul. Frank touched people’s lives wherever he went. His generous heart and kind soul will never be forgotten. To the very end, he fought to stay alive. Frank had so much more to give and share with us. Frank was and is a survivor who would want to be remembered with joyfulness, kindness, and lots of smiles. He is our MVP forever!
Frank leaves to mourn his wife, Nathalie Bostic of Massachusetts; his two children, Maritza Bostic of New York and James Bostic of Massachusetts, from his first marriage; his mother, Christina Bostic of North Carolina; his brother, Blannie Lee Bostic, Jr. of Connecticut; his sister, Deborah Bostic of Maryland; his brothers, Jerry Bostic (Jacquelyn) of Maryland and Carroll Bostic of Georgia; his sister and “his girl,” Lisa C Bostic of Massachusetts; his two nieces that he helped raise after they lost their fathers at young age, Sha'neak'que T Bostic of Texas and Dauaja D Dempsey North Carolina; his Godmother, Geraldine Evans of North Carolina; his Godsister, Gloria Middleton of Massachusetts; his Godbrother, Gordon Gleaves of Massachusetts; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Blannie Lee Bostic, Sr. (Alice); his brothers, Michael L Bostic and Terry Bostic (Jackie).
