John “Tuck” Tucker, Jr., 74, of Brookfield passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jimmy Stone and the Rev. Tim Henry officiating. Mr. Tucker will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Steve Landers, Shane Tawzer, Jerry Gaskins. Flint Tucker, John Tucker and Dale Harper will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 22, 1946 in Tifton, Mr. Tucker was the son of the late John Tucker Sr. and Pauline Withers Tucker. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen Georgeson. He was retired and a member of Brookfield United Methodist Church.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife, Verla Mae Smith Tucker of Brookfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Tonya Marie and Ken Gaskins of Enigma; one brother, Billy Tucker and his fiance’, April Ross, of Enigma; two grandsons, David Gaskins of Enigma and Kayla Hobby of Tifton and Robert and Mackinzie Gaskins of Adel; two great-grandchildren, Rosalie Gaskins and Jackson Gaskins; a brother-in-law, Troy Georgeson; and two nephews, Chris Georgeson and John Tucker; and one niece, Chrisanna Carper.
