Scott J. Tucker, age 67, passed away peacefully on Feb. 25, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Scott was born on Jan. 11, 1953 to the late Bernard and Styra (Weinberg) Tucker in Hartford, CT. He graduated in 1971 from Classical High School. After graduation, Scott had a long career in food service, serving as a co-manager in various restaurants. In 1991 he met Linda (Matthews) and they wed in 1993. After he retired, Scott found his greatest passion as a volunteer for Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Shelter. He was known as the “Cat-man” and spent 10 years helping over 2,500 cats find their forever homes. Scott is survived by his loving wife Linda and son Cody of Springfield; his sister Shelly Fisher and her husband Marc of Agawam; Sister-in-laws Laurie Dearborn of Springfield and Carolyn Brodeur and her husband Michael of Virginia along with his nephews, Joshua, Aaron and Zachary Fisher. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at his sister Shelly’s house, 42 Lakeview Circle, Agawam, MA.
