Obituary

BRIDGEWATER, MA ~ Casimir Biela, 93, of South Hadley, MA and Naples, FL, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 supported by family in Bridgewater, MA. Cas was born March 6, 1926 in Holyoke, MA to Mary and Stephan Biela. He was predeceased by his siblings Stella, Julian, John, Anthony, Max and Edward. He is survived by his brother Henry. His wife of 56 years, Beatrice Lequin passed away in 2003. He is also predeceased by his daughter, Beverly Wilson, and his granddaughter, Kerri Lyn Biela. Cas is survived by his sons Robert and wife Linda of Bridgewater, MA, and Gary and Patricia of South Hadley, MA as well as 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He also leaves his son-in-law, Kenneth Wilson, of Holyoke, MA. A US Navy veteran, Cas worked as a recycling supervisor at Sonoco Paper of Holyoke for 55 years. Upon retirement, Cas and Betty moved to Naples, FL together and enjoyed many wonderful years. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 12 Noon at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Committal Service with United States Navy Military Honors will follow the Mass at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
