Robert E. Day Jr. (84) of Brockton died February 23rd in the Guardian Center. He was the husband of Janet Day.
He was born in Brockton son of the late Robert E. Day Sr. and Ebba Day. Robert was a veteran serving in the US Navy and worked for the Armstrong Flooring Company in Braintree. Robert enjoyed fixing cars, camping, cookouts and socializing with family and friends. He especially loved the ice cream man and Dairy Queen.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Thomas Day and wife Sherry Mann of Georgia, David Day of Taunton and Vincent Cummings of Brockton, 3 daughters, Nancy and husband Henry Vara of Georgia, Brenda Day-McDonald and husband Dan McDonald of Florida and Tammy and husband Joseph Serpa of Taunton, a sister Jean Gates of Virginia, (also father of the late Gale Day and twin brother of the late Harry Day), 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Sunday March 1st from 3-5 pm. Cremation to follow.
