Obituary

Alberta Louise (Summers) Driggers, 81, of Anderson died February 23, 2020 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born August 26,1938, in Anderson, the daughter of Homer and Mariah (Lennington) Summers.
She was a homemaker who loved being a grandmother, cooking and her family. She was active in her church, The True Apostolic Church in Pendleton.
Alberta is survived by her loving husband, David Driggers, Sr. of Anderson whom she married February 22, 1949 in Anderson; her son, Dave (Patricia) Driggers Jr. of Pendleton; daughter, Teresa Driggers of Lawrence; grandchildren, Jared (Jeanna) Driggers of Barcelona, Spain; Jessica Driggers of Greenwood and Michael Sims of Westfield; brothers, Cecil (Karen) Summers of Springfield, Illinois, Dan (Lois) Summers of New Albany and Tim (Kim) Summers of Anderson; her sister-in-law, Dora Summers of Corapeake, North Carolina; 14 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Annabelle Summers, and her brother, Larry E. Summers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Phil Hodges of True Apostolic Church officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital.
