Louise Howell Franks, 85, of Tifton died Monday, February 24, 2020, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Franks at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate and her son, Earl Franks, will give a eulogy. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2020, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Franks’ grandsons, Wesley Franks, Andy Wall, Garrett Franks, Aaron Wall and Austin Franks will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 31, 1935 in Cook County, Mrs. Franks was the daughter of the late Archie Lee Howell and Pauline King Howell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lennis Wesley Franks, to whom she was married for 61 years at his death; and two brothers, Elmer Howell and Grady Howell. Before retiring, she was a Department Manager at Roses and she was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved her family dearly; she loved fishing; she loved taking vacations and enjoyed going to the Grand Ole Opry. She was an excellent cook, with cakes being her specialty.
Mrs. Franks is survived by her children and their spouses, Donnie and Lynnah Franks of Brunswick, Brenda and Joe Wall of Blackshear and Earl and Carol Franks of Alexandria, Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, Rudolph and Cheyenne Howell of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Andy Wall, Aaron Wall, Wesley Franks, Garrett Franks, Allyson Rodnicki, Alyssa Franks and Austin Franks; seven great-grandchildren, Jackson Wall, Abby Wall, Maddie Wall, Riley Grace Wall, Brody Franks, Caleb Rodnicki and Hadley Grace Rodnicki; and her special friends, Ginger Kelly, Pat Blackmon, Shekenia Robinson, Katie Robinson, Leanna Giles, Roger Smith and the staff of Hospice of Tift Area.
