BILLERICA – Carol died Sunday, February 23, in her home, after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the best friend and wife for forty-three years of Carl F. Bahia, who died in 2006. She was born in Boston, one of four children of the late David and Martha (Hird) Sutherland, and had lived in Billerica since 1962. She and Carl loved to drive to automobile shows, outings, and events throughout New England. At home, she always prized her family cats.
She leaves a daughter, Deborah Lynne Morgan of Billerica; a son, Carl F. Jr., and his wife Sarah (Field) of Pepperell; four grandchildren, Trevor and Talia Morgan both of Billerica, and Jack and Bryan Bahia both of Pepperell; a brother, David Sutherland and his wife Sally of Quincy; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Kimball and Martha Dalton. Carol’s family sends a special thank you to Hospice Services of Massachusetts.
Her Memorial Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26,from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph.
