Daisy Pauline Weaver Gray, 93, of Tifton passed away Monday, February 24, 2020, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Gray at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Jimmy Albritton will officiate.
Born May 27, 1926, in Moultrie, Mrs. Gray was the daughter of the late Lewis Clyde Weaver and Vesta Bennett Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson “Jack” Gray, Sr.; two brothers, John Weaver and Horace Weaver; and three sisters, Florence Bowles, Mozell Exum and Dora Payne. She graduated from Okapilco School and secretarial school and was a bookkeeper at Colquitt EMC until her marriage. She loved her pine trees, which were known as “Pauline’s Pinetree Plantation” and she was the “Facebook Queen”.
Mrs. Gray is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Timmy and Jayne Gray of Tifton and Tommy and Emily Gray of Tallahassee, Florida; her grandchildren, Anna Gray, Holly Elrod (Zach), Zack Gray (Shelby McWhorter) and Liam Gray; two great-grandsons, Aiden and Elijah Elrod; and one foster great-granddaughter.
