Willie Kenneth “Ken” Moore, Jr., 36, of Tifton passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Clinton Moore officiating. Ken will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Avery Smith, Danny Gaskins, John Rakestraw, Josh Wiggins, Brock Alsobrook, Dean Peters and Brent Fletcher will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Shane, Alex Kennedy, Josh Averitt, Broc Moore, Buck Moore, Josh Markham, Randy Carmichael, Wesley Barber, Jerry Hill, Flynt Owens, Brett Davis and David Durden.
Born April 6, 1983 in Tifton, Ken was the son of Renae Lord Moore of Tifton and the late Willie Kenneth Moore, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willie Moore; and his maternal grandfather, Ray Lord. Ken enjoyed farming and being with his friends. He loved hunting and fishing and driving 4-wheel drive trucks and 4-wheelers.
In addition to his mother, Ken is survived by two sisters, Robin Moore and Amber Connell, both of Tifton; his paternal grandmother, Earline Hall Moore of Tifton; his maternal grandmother, Mary Wojcik of Tifton; his aunts and uncles, Randall and Debra Moore, Scott Sheffield and Tina Starnes, Lori Tomlinson and Gina Doty; his cousins, Ashley (John) Walker, Amy (Bo) McCranie, Anna (Josh) Abbott, Candace Ledbetter, Courtney Griffin, Paul Tomlinson, NaTasha Tomlinson, Kelli Tomlinson and Brandon Driskell; and several great-cousins.
