Obituary

Iris Marjorie Miriam Fulcher was born in London, England on June 9th, 1925 to Percy and Minnie Woodhams. She grew up in England before moving to Minnesota and making a home for herself in St. Paul and Maplewood, MN. She was Promoted to Glory on February 4, 2020 at the age of 94. She married the love of her life, Sidney Fulcher, in 1943.

Iris loved Jesus and loved people and made it her life’s mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus to everyone she met. She was active in The Salvation Army her whole life and would be actively praying for all on a daily basis; if anyone ever needed her she was there using the power of prayer to heal hearts. Her love and servant heart was a true blessing to all that knew her. Her life was a living example of a Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Iris Fulcher is the adored wife of Sidney Fulcher; marvelous mother of Miriam Hall (late husband Keith Hall), Keith Fulcher (wife Margaret) and Rosemary Schuh (formerly Setterstrom; husband Steve). Iris was the beloved grandmother to 7 grandchildren and the greatest great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren. Iris was a cherished sister of Joyce Grambush (John), the late John Woodhams, the late Ruth Weaver, the late Eva Mesher; and an admired aunt to her caring nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who cherished each moment spent with those she loved and always would make sure you knew to “keep your eyes on Jesus” and to be thankful each day.

Funeral Service Saturday, February 29, 11:00 AM at THE SALVATION ARMY LAKEWOOD TEMPLE, 2080 Woodlynn Ave., Maplewood, with visitation one hour prior to Service. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
