John P. Coakley passed away on February 15, 2020. He was 84 years old.
John was born in Medford and a longtime resident of Malden. He was a United States Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict and worked as a printer at John Hancock Co. for many years.
John was the devoted husband of 65 years to Carole E. (Conlon) Coakley. He was the son of the late John and Margaret (Clougherty) Coakley. John was the loving father of June DiGiammerino and her husband Gary of Tewksbury, John Coakley and his wife Diane of Billerica and Lynn Troisi and her husband Paul of Billerica. He was the dear brother of William Coakley, Elaine Buckland, and predeceased by 3 brother and 3 sisters. John was the beloved “Bompi” of 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visiting hours will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday February 18th from 3-7pm. A service will be held at 6:30pm during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
