Obituary

CATAUMET – William D. Kea, Sr. 79, of Cataumet, formerly of Wayland, passed away on February 14, 2020.
Bill grew up in South Boston and proudly joined the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) after graduating from Boston English High School. After serving his country, Bill embarked on a 40-year career in the insurance industry. He prospered from selling insurance door to door to owning his own agency. His proudest accomplishment was his family. He married Martha in 1962 and together raised 3 children during their 57 years of marriage. Bill was adventuresome, perhaps even nomadic, in nature. His endless energy and constant drive transported the Kea Family across multiple states and several homes along the way.
After raising a family and leaving the insurance industry, Bill relished his retirement years. Bill and Martha spent their winters in Naples, Florida and their summers on Cape Cod. Golf, boats, family, faith, and friends were the foundation of his retirement. He was a member of Naples Heritage Golf Club, Pocasset Golf Club, and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Bill was the son of the late Helen and John Antonuccio. He’s the beloved husband of Martha (Judge) Kea. The proud father of William Kea, Jr. and his wife Denise, Robert Kea and his wife Cathy, and Deborah (Kea) Edmunds and her husband James. He cherished his eight grandchildren, Alex, Kristina, Ashley, Jacob, Alison, James, Hayden, and Ella.
He is survived by his Aunt and guiding light Ina Morgillo, sister-in-law, Mary Alice Grzyb and her husband Edward, brother-in-law Charles Judge and his wife Susan, sister-in law Anne Marie Judge, and 8 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bennett Kea and brother-in-law George Judge.
