Eugene M. Reppucci, Age 93, passed away Friday at his home. He was the husband of the late Anna (Danella) Reppucci, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Mrs. Reppucci passed away in 1990.
Born in Boston, Gene was the son of the late Caterina (Cataldo) and Carmine Reppucci. A graduate of Boston English High School, at eighteen he became the president of the family owned construction business. In 1931 he moved to Medford and became active in the community. He was a former director of the Plan E civic association, past President of the Medford Kiwanis, a corporator of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, former chairman of the Water and Sewer commission, a life member of the Medford Lodge of Elks and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Gene was dedicated to his family and church and supported many other charitable organizations. He is survived by one daughter, Catherine E. Zanelli of Genoa, Italy; a son Eugene M. Reppucci Jr. Of Wayland; a granddaughter Eugenia Zanelli Tripodi of Italy; one brother Albert C. Reppucci of Malden. He is predeceased by four brothers Joseph, John, Louis and George Reppucci; two sisters Elena Popoli and Margaret Nardini.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church 71 Warner St. Somerville at 10. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
