FALL RIVER - David A Roberts, 58, of Fall River, MA entered into the arms of Jesus on February 11, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Kelly) Roberts of Fall River, the son of John “Jake” Roberts and Jacqueline “Jackie” (Bacon) Roberts of Somerset and the grandson of Cizaltina Bacon of Fall River and the late John Bacon.
David attended the Word of Life Community Church in Fall River, MA. He enjoyed playing drums, billiards, spending time with his cat Izabel, coaching softball, reading the bible, motorcycle riding, and volunteering his time especially since being retired from the Mass Dept of Transportation, where he served as a bridge inspector for many years. Although he enjoyed all New England Sports teams, he was such an avid Bruins fan, devoting two of his many tattoos to them.
In addition to his wife, parents, and grandmother, David is survived by his two children, Nicholas Roberts of Manchester, New Hampshire and Brittney Roberts of Rockland, MA. He leaves behind a sister, Cristin (Roberts) Monestime and her husband Frantz of Fall River, MA along with his nephew Jordan and niece Ava. He also leaves and an Aunt, Geraldine Manchester of Portsmouth, RI, and many other great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
David was a kind, caring, spiritual individual with a heartwarming smile. He was happiest when he was helping others. Those who knew him know that while it brought him great joy doing for others, he never liked being the focus or center of attention. To honor his wishes, there will be no services.
David’s private funeral services were under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME.
