Obituary

Edwin H.M. Alger, 78, of New Bedford died February 13, 2020 after a brief illness at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Brockton, son of the late Edward H.D. and Alice (Morrill) Alger, he lived in Brockton before moving to New Bedford 33 years ago.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver with Progressive Palmer for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed picnics at the beach, going to Ned's Point, spending time with his grandchildren and going out to eat especially at the Olive Garden. He was a NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his life partner, Regina Larrabee of New Bedford; a step-son, Scott Larrabee of Monmouth, ME; a sister, Mary Joyce Comeau of Brockton; a brother, David Alger and his wife Laurel of New Ipswich, NH; 4 grandchildren, Keith Larrabee, Jasmine Larrabee, Willow Larrabee and Curtis Larrabee; several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Alger, Edward Alger and Sandra Farrell, brother-in-law of the late Priscilla Alger, Karin Alger, John Farrell and Gerry Comeau.
His funeral services will be private.
