New Bedford – Daniel F. Ferreira, 58, of New Bedford died at home as a result of a lifetime condition on February 1, 2006.
Mr. Ferreira was born in Acushnet and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of his life. He was the son of Lucien R.J. and Marion (Cannon) Couture. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, an active sponsor in the New Bedford Alco-holic Anonymous and an avid participant in activities at the apartment complex where he lived. He enjoyed camping, computer electronics and learning to play the guitar and keyboard.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 daughters: Corinna Winterbottom and Felicia Ferreira both of Florida; 2 sons: Daniel Ferreira of Arizona and Dustin Ferreira of Wisconsin; 4 sisters: Phylis Ferreira of Arizona, Rebecca Arden of North Carolina, Lynda Laprade of Massachusetts and Danielle Ferreira of New Mexico; a granddaughter: Amber Winterbottom of Florida; and several nieces & nephews.

A memorial service on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at the Mullen Hill Baptist Church, 111 Highland Road, Lakeville, MA.
