Angel L. Rivera, age 76, passed away on Feb. 2, 2020 at home. He was born on Feb. 25, 1943 in Orocouis, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Jose` Artemio Rivera and Graciela R. (Rosario) Rivera. Angel worked as a foreman for at HB Smith and also at Corondo Meat Co., for many years. He is survived by his sons Edward J. Rivera and his wife Sheila of Westfield and Angel Rivera Jr and his wife Leslie of Springfield; a daughter Sonia Torres and her husband Edwin Cabrera of Chicopee along with his beloved 5 grandchildren, Piper Rivera, Sammi Rivera, Justin Cabrera, Angel Rivera III and Linette Rivera. He is predeceased by his son Miguel “Chu-Chu” Rivera. Calling hours will be held on Fri., Feb. 7, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at a later date.
