Obituary

Raymond L. Fish, 90, of New Bedford died Sunday, February 2, 2020. He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Frates) Fish and the late Beverly (Gonsalves) Fish.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late George and Virginia (Daniels) Fish, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

He was formerly employed as a machinist at Morse Twist Drill in New Bedford for 35 years.

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He loved music and was a singer in a jazz band. He was also a sailor and sailed many boats for 60 years.

Ray was a loving father, grandfather, and friend and his family members were the loves of his life.

He is survived by his children, Gary Fish and his wife Candace, Kevin Fish, Kathleen Fish and her companion Richard Nowell-Ray, and Terri Torosian and her husband David; his step-son, Alan Frates; his companion, Leone Farias; his brother, Daniel Fish; seven grandchildren, Alex Fish and his wife Dawn, Amie and Bob Leeming, Michele Milmore and her husband Shaun, and Eve and Alex Torosian; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Gail Fish Ventura and grandfather of the late John Ventura.
