Patrick Finn, 53, of New Bedford, MA passed away at his home on December 28, 2019 following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Susan (Consolini) Finn, who was by his side at his time of passing. Prior to his illness, Patrick worked as a truck driver for companies including Karpp Construction and Sid Wainer & Son Specialty Produce.
Patrick enjoyed spending time with and traveling alongside his wife, was a parishioner of Our Lady’s Chapel in New Bedford, and read any and all books relating to Irish history and heritage. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three stepchildren, Robert Austin of New Bedford, Melanie Austin and her wife Kathleen of Wrentham, and Katie Barrett and her husband Jim of Brockton; and three grandchildren, Arielle Austin, Kaleb Austin, and Max Barrett.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 8:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 235 North Front St., New Bedford. A burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady’s Chapel, 600 Pleasant St., New Bedford, MA 02740. Any donations made in Patrick’s honor will help the friars continue to provide comfort and healing to others in their time of need, as they did for Patrick in his.
