Andrew James Ahern, 36, of Derry, NH passed away suddenly Friday January 24, 2020, in Derry. Andrew was born November 28, 1983 in Lowell, MA and was a son of Patricia (Hadley) LaPenna and Robert Ahern. Andrew was raised in the Londonderry/ Derry area where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Londonderry High School.
Andrew was an avid Boston sports fan and loved all the local teams. He played high school basketball and lacrosse and still enjoyed playing basketball. Andrew loved time spent with his family and friends.
Members of the family include his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Michael LaPenna, a brother Paul LaPenna and his wife Nicole, his sister, Christin Hadley, his maternal grandmother, Anna Hadley and his two nieces, Catherine and Susanna.
After cremation, a Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday February 1, 2020 at 10:30am in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry, NH. The family also extends an invitation to everyone to join them for a time of refreshment and remembrance immediately after the Liturgy in St. Mark’s Hall.
