Dhimitraq Shule, 77, of Worcester died Friday, January 24th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Natasha (Bino) Shule; his children, Endri Shule and his wife, Gerta of Korca, Albania, Monika and her husband, Kosta Raci of Worcester and Ornela and her husband, Sokoli Agolli of Worcester and his siblings, Gjergji, Vladimir, Natasha and Robert. He also leaves seven grandchildren who were the light of his life, Evan, Anthony, Kristia, Tanja, Dardi, Dimitri and Nikola; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Donika Kreka and his parents, Vangjel and Andoneta (Kote) Shule.
He was born in Korca, Albania and immigrated in 2005 to Worcester. Dhimitraq was an avid soccer fan whose favorite team was Brazil. He was a very religious man who participated in services at St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church.
Mr. Shule was a handyman who enjoyed the challenge of fixing friends and family’s electronics. He was also a talented woodworker. Dhimitraq enjoyed helping others and always wanted the best for them. He loved his grandchildren and desired to see them aspire in life and be successful. Dhimitraq’s main concern was always how his grandchildren were doing in school. He always lit up every room he was in with his big personality. We always knew he was in the room because everyone would be laughing. He never stopped cracking jokes and cheering others up.
His funeral is Tuesday, January 28th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, January 27th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
