Turner A. Litchfield,89,of Norton died on Thursday February 2,2006 at The Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Attleboro,MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia C. (McEndy) Litchfield.

Born in Whitman,MA on February 20,1916 he was a son of the late Harry and Beatrice (Kay) Litchfield.

He was educated in Whitman Schools and had valso attended Wentworth Institute in Boston. A WWII veteran,he served in The United States Army. A retired Salesman,he had worked for Grossman Lumber Co. for 33 years before retiring. His territory included Southern MA and Rhode Island.

He was a member and was an original 1946 charter member of The VFW Post 8049 in Norton. He was a communicant of St.Marys Church in Norton. He made his home in Norton for the past 66 years and was formerly of Whitman.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Gladys V. McEndy of Norton as well as his several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Litchfield, Harry Litchfield and Ruth Kindness.

His funeral,to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday February 6th at 9:00 A.M. from The Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140,Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Marys Church,South Worcester St.,Norton.Burial will follow in Colebrook Cemetery,Whitman.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 5th from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
