Streeter of Brockton February 1, 2006, William J.“Bill” Streeter, Jr., 72 years. Husband of the late Anne T. (Miller) Streeter. Loving brother of Margaret V. Streeter of Brockton.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Saturday 1-5 pm.

Obituary

William J.“Bill” Streeter, Jr., 72 years died Wednesday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Taunton, the son of the late William J. and Catherine ( Mahar) Streeter. He attended Taunton public schools and was a graduate of Mgrs. James Coyle High School Class of 1949. Mr. Streeter served in the US Army 101st Airborne Division, he received his basic training in Indian Town Gap, PA and served in the Korean War for two years. He also served as a Special Courier at the US Embassy in Japan and received the Defense Medal and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
Following his discharge from the service, he attended Bentley School of Accounting in Boston for two years. Mr. Streeter opened his own business in Roslindale, which he owned and operated for 16 years, retiring in September of 2003. Mr. Streeter was a communicant for 36 years of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
He enjoyed sports, playing golf, music and playing the piano.

He is survived by his sister Margaret V. Streeter of Brockton
He was the husband of the late Anne T. Miller) Streeter
