Frances Thompson Tuck, age 75, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020. She was born May 3, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee Thompson and the late Katherine Vargo Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Tuck and her brother, Claude Thompson.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Carole Newcomb and husband, Steve of Chase City, VA; two grandchildren, James Hatcher III and wife, Brook of Clarksville, VA and Hayley Newcomb of Chase City; and one great-granddaughter, Aliza Hatcher. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Thompson and wife, Ruth Ann of Chase City, VA; sister, Joyce Seay and husband, Melvin of Lawrenceville, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Ann Seay.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Chase City, VA. Following the service, friends and family are welcome to come to Carole’s residence for a reception.
