Obituary

Webster
Helen Sobosik Daniels, 97, died on Saturday, January 18, 2020. Born in the hamlet of Wilsonville, Thompson, CT., Helen lived her long life nearby, including 73 years on Lake Parkway.
Helen’s life was devoted to her family and her church as evidenced by her years in the church choir, as a CCD teacher, Adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, and volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She loved to sing and was called upon to do so at many family weddings, where Schubert’s Ave Maria was her signature song. Helen also volunteered as a cub scout den mother, as a Meals on Wheels driver, and as a singer for many years in the Jacqueliers chorus. She was a tireless caregiver for her husband in his declining years.
Nothing made Helen happier than having family come together to share birthdays, holidays, and dinners around the enduring dinner table.
Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Rene, six siblings, and her many in-laws, she leaves behind her sons Wes and his wife Susan; Doug and his partner Lynne; and daughter Renee and her husband Jim. Also her beloved grandchildren Katie and husband Nick; Lisa; Teresa and partner Kyle; John and fiancée Shannon; and Michael, as well as her much adored great-granddaughter Maddi. Her many nieces and nephews, and their children will also miss her as will Terry Fallon who had a special place in Helen’s heart and in the entire family.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers whose caring support allowed her to remain in her home, particularly Sharon Napierata who became a life friend. They are grateful for neighbors, the Spahl family and George Harper who kept a close respectful eye on Helen.
