Louise (Mello) Governo. Age 91. Wife of George Governo. Residence 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of 1287 No. Main St., Fall River, MA. Died Sunday at Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, MA. Daughter of the late John Mello and the late Blanche (Rezendes) Mello. She was a life long resident of Fall River, MA. Before retiring in 1976, she was a Weaver/Mill Worker at at Sagamore #1 for 10 years. She was a member of St. Michael Church and the Ladies Guild.
Besides her husband of Fall River, she is survived by Three Sons: George J. Governo of Louisville, KY, Stephen A. Governo of Tiverton, RI and John F. Governo of Hope, RI. Six Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Minerva Paiva and Hermina Medeiros.
Her PRIVATE funeral took place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. Internment was in St. Patrick Cemetery. A PRIVATE WAKE was held Tuesday.
