JACKSON, Anne M. (Shuley) Of Needham died unexpectedly on January 16, 2020 after bravely battling recent health issues. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Anne was born and raised in Boston. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Shuley, sister of the late John Shuley, the late Blanche Morton Cattaneo, and the late Kathleen Shuley. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Willard (Bunky) Jackson and children Maureen, Lorraine, Thomas, Kevin, Christine, William, and Robert, as well as daughter-in-laws Emma and Sharon, and her loving grandchildren Shawna, Conor, Ava, Sean, Mitchell, and William, and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was a voracious reader throughout her lifetime and enjoyed all genres of literature. She was also an avid and expert crossword puzzle aficionado. Much to her families delight, Anne was a gourmet cook and loved preparing meals for the entire family throughout the years. She also loved to travel and visited several South American and European destinations, as well as extensive travel in the U.S. Anne was a passionate and decades-long supporter of, and contributor to, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Anne will forever be missed by her husband and her entire family. Mom, we love you and will miss you for the rest of our lives, your loss has created a hole that will never be filled. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hands.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Monday, Jan. 20 from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
