Ollie Troup Love, 96, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Irwinville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jay Roberson and the Rev. Roger Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Mystic Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mrs. Love was born September 29, 1923, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Jake & Alder Dixon Troup. She lived in the community all of her life and was a farmer’s wife and a seamstress for Hybernia’s. Mrs. Love was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and a member of Irwinville United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed quilting for the Methodist Children’s Home in Macon, Georgia.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann Barker of Irwin County; two granddaughters: Cassandra Hancock and Candace Roberts; six great-grandchildren: Landon Hancock, Logan Hancock, Nathan Hancock, Dustin Ewing, Sarah Tucker and Devon Ewing; and two great-great-grandchildren: Adalynn Green and Sadie Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lewis Love and two brothers: Ed Troup and Plemon Troup.
